ARTIST EUGENE CLARK RECEIVES A VISITING ARTIST POSITION AS PART OF THE DEARBORN SCULPTURE INITIATIVE


Artist and Oakland University Art Professor
Eugene Clark receives a visiting artist position
as part of the Sculpture Initiative, in the city
of Dearborn, Michigan.  Clark is appointed the
visiting artist position for 2013 and will present
lectures in the Padzieski Art Gallery, as well
as conduct hands-on sculpture workshops for
the community, using recycled materials. The
Sculpture Initiative is funded by the Dearborn
Community Fund, headed up by Emma Jean
Woodyard, Director.  Clark is appointed
visiting artist for the 2nd year in a row, 2012
and 2013.

OAKLAND UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR EUGENE CLARK CONDUCTS AN ANATOMY / FIGURE DRAWING WORKSHOP AT THE INTERNATIONAL ACADEMY


Oakland University Professor Eugene Clark
conducts a four day intensive anatomy / figure
drawing workshop for the International Academy,
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, April 1-4, 2013.
Professor Clark presented anatomy drawing
lecture demonstrations along with live model
drawing sessions.  Each student created works
in pencil and charcoal as well as detailed sketch
book studies of the skeletal system.  The International
Academy is rated the top high school in America
by Newsweek, US News and World Report.

PROFESSOR EUGENE CLARK CONDUCTS A VISIT TO THE OAKLAND UNIVERSITY CADAVER LAB

                     
Art students from The College for Creative
Studies (pictured), and Oakland University
join Professor Eugene Clark as he conducts
a visit to the Oakland University cadaver lab,
along with medical graduate student Jon
Hypnar, the current cadaver lab tech, April 2, 2013.
Students benefited from a lecture by Jon Hypnar
and were able to wear surgical gloves to have a
hands-on experience each holding a brain and
human heart, as well as different parts of the cadaver.
